Visit to the Tate Modern Gallery at St Ives
Not every place of interest along the southwest coast of the UK is a land- or seascape. At a recent visit to the Tate Modern gallery at St Ives I saw that a “trans-species furry creature” had joined a family group viewing part of the mind-blowing installation by Ad Minoliti “Biosphera Peluche” in which, in a spirit of mutual support and cooperation, machines and humans create artworks, and shape and colour are used to “reform architecture” and deconstruct assumptions of what are appropriate male and female roles. The “furries” are purposely ambiguous; human/alien, male/female, biological/technical; so as to blur boundaries.
